Statement of Faith
The Sciphre Institute affirms:

Our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Our belief in the basic tenets of orthodox Christianity as stated in the Nicene Creed and Apostle’s Creed.

Our conviction that we are called as servants to live, work and give witness to our faith in Christ’s name and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that faith and reason abide in perfect harmony in the Triune Godhead.

We believe in the full, unique and divine inspiration of the Bible.  That it is entirely trustworthy concerning all things necessary to our salvation.  The Bible is the authority and basis of Christian faith and practice.  (See II Timothy 3:16)

We believe that prayer is the foundational communication link between God and humans.

We believe that God gave humans intellect and that such intellect is to be used for the glory of God and the benefit of all God’s creation.

We believe that Christians are to creatively and harmoniously work together under the Lordship of Christ and the Leadership of the Holy Spirit for the accomplishment of God’s redemptive mission upon the Earth.

We believe that Christians are to be generous in spirit and deed toward persons of other belief systems and to demonstrate respect and appreciation while holding firmly to faith in Jesus Christ.
